About Tom Sullivan/Bio

Tom's musical education and background:

* Private lessons with Harold Danko, Head of Jazz Studies at the Eastman School of Music
* Private lessons with Frank Puzzullo, Professor of Jazz Studies at Ball State University
* Private study with Lou Volpe, music director and arranger for Peggy Lee, Herbie Mann and New York City studio guitarist.

Bands and other playing situations:

* 26th Army Band, New York City, 1970 to 1973.
* Telegraph Band, San Francisco and Indianapolis, thru the 1970s
* Merger Band, thru the 1980s
* Solo Artist to present

Tom Sullivan currently leads the Tom Sullivan Trio, which regularly features Dave Baranyk on mandolin and Greg GegeGoine on bass. Tom and the Trio are masterful jazz musicians specializing in a wide range of standards that will please both casual listeners and jazz aficionados. The group will also season the mix with some bluegrass/fiddle tunes, and they are known serve up some Celtic music during the month of March.
